Last week, GlobalVision's Montreal office was buzzing with excitement as we welcomed members of the Institute of Packaging Professionals (IoPP) Pharmaceutical & Medical Device Labeling Committee (P&MDLC).

The P&MDLC brought together top minds from leading pharmaceutical and medical device companies to tackle the industry's most pressing challenges. Hosting this event provided a unique opportunity to connect with these experts, share insights, and explore the future of labeling technology together.

Our primary objective for this event was to build lasting relationships and create a space for open dialogue around key topics like AI usage and e-labeling. We showcased how GlobalVision's technology addresses critical industry pain points by helping to accelerate regulatory approvals, improve efficiency of the labeling review cycle, and eliminate labeling errors, ultimately speeding up time-to-market. For us, success was measured by the quality of the conversations, the strength of the connections made, and the actionable insights everyone took away.

Our Agenda

The event agenda balanced strategic committee business with deep dives into the technology revolutionizing labeling and quality control. Attendees participated in a series of educational sessions, interactive workshops, and valuable networking opportunities.

Educational Deep Dives

GlobalVision’s own experts led several key presentations, offering a look into the cutting-edge solutions we've developed to meet the specific needs of the pharmaceutical and medical device industries.

  • How Verify's AI Capabilities Conquer Pharma's Toughest Labeling Challenges: This session explored how artificial intelligence is not just a buzzword but a powerful tool for solving complex verification tasks, ensuring accuracy from the first draft to the final print.
  • The AI Opportunity: What’s Next For Verify?: We pulled back the curtain on our product roadmap, discussing the future of our flagship platform, Verify. This session, led by our product leaders, explored upcoming enhancements designed to provide even greater automation and intelligence to quality control processes.

Interactive and Collaborative Sessions

Beyond presentations, the event was built around active participation. We created an activity called "The Labeling Gauntlet," a scenario-based challenge designed to put labeling processes to the test. This interactive workshop encouraged attendees to collaborate, problem-solve, and build a bulletproof labeling workflow in a hands-on environment.

These sessions went beyond simple presentations—they ignited some of the event’s most impactful conversations. During Q&A, attendees tackled tough, practical questions, diving into topics like how Verify’s deterministic AI avoids uncontrolled self-learning and how its human-in-the-loop approach ensures actionable feedback. Discussions spanned core capabilities such as barcode decoding, AWS cloud hosting, and validation within a three-month release cycle, as well as broader themes like custom rulebooks, regulatory sourcing, and auto-fetched rules referencing standards like CFR or region-specific requirements. These dynamic exchanges gave attendees a clear view of what Verify delivers today—secure, compliant inspections without external tools—and what’s on the horizon.

Building Connections Beyond the Boardroom

We believe the strongest partnerships are built on genuine connection. To that end, the agenda included several opportunities for networking in a more relaxed setting. The event kicked off with a welcome reception and cocktail, which set a collaborative tone from the start.

Throughout the event, attendees had the chance to connect during catered lunches and breaks. We also hosted our guests for an evening of fun at an indoor golf facility, followed by a private dinner at one of Montreal's finest restaurants. These informal gatherings were essential for fostering the relationships that lead to true industry innovation.

Looking Forward with Gratitude

Hosting the IOPP P&MDLC has become a fast favourite event for GlobalVision this year. We also extend a heartfelt thank you to every attendee for taking the time to join us in Montreal. Your participation, insights, and engagement made this week impactful.

By fostering this kind of collaboration, we collectively drove the industry forward, enhanced efficiency, ensured compliance, and ultimately improved patient safety. Thank you for visiting Montreal and for being a part of GlobalVision's journey!
